Marc Anthony! New CD "Iconos" Dropping May 25, 2010
Traducción al español, por favor ver más abajo.
Alright people, you already know that there aren't too many people who have the honor of making the cut to get in the box, but Marc Anthony is one of them. He is one of my absolute faves! Well, Marc has a new CD that's getting ready to drop on May 25.
Well yesterday I was checking my Tweets, as all good music fans do, and there was a tweet from Sony Latin, announcing a 24 Hr. listening party. If you registered and logged into Marc's official fan page, you were able to hear the entire play list! that's right the ENTIRE list! How cool is that! Sony is giving fans the opportunity to fall in love with the CD even before it's available.....not only is this really cool....it's really smart.
Here is the Track List For "Iconos":
Almohada
El Triste
Y Cómo Es Él
Abrázame Muy Fuerte
Te Lo Pido Por Favor
Amada Amante
Vida
Ya Lo Sé Que Tú Te Vas
A Quién Quiero Mentirle
Maldita Sea Mi Suerte
"Marc Anthony's new studio set, "Iconos," finds him following up his 2008 "El Cantante" soundtrack with a collection of covers that pays homage to his favorite Latin singers and songs. And here, first exclusively on Billboard.com, listen to the full album before it comes out on May 25.
Songs originally by José José, Juan Gabriel, José Luis Perales and others... This is the music that has "withstood the test of time," Anthony recently told Billboard.com's Daily Noise show at the 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards. "They just don't write songs like this anymore... I wanted to celebrate artists that had the guts at the time to be so daring."
Please see the original article on Billboard.Com
While the listening party has ended on Marc's official web site you still have the opportunity to listen to the new tunes on Billboard.Com.
While these are all covers of some killer Latin classics, Marc puts a spin on them that only he can....however, no offense Marc, you know I love you...but while your cover of "Amada Amante is beautiful, Chayanne's cover of the same song that he released on his CD "Influencias" can't be topped, at least in my book, the ever lovin' Chayanne fan that I am!
"I know this blog entry really isn't about Chayanne per say, but I just like to look at him anyway!"
Labels:
Amada Amante,
Chayanne,
Iconos,
Marc Anthony
