Gerardo Ortiz' Very First Nomination for Premios Juventud



In the past months, Gerardo Ortiz has rocked the world of Mexican regional music not only with his innovative musical ideas and lyrics but also by imposing a fad among youth. This musical phenomenon born in Los Angeles and raised in Sinaloa is taking the entire music industry by storm. He's had presentations all over the United States and Mexico. Recently he led the impressive concert "Corrido Invasion III" at the Gibson Amphitheatre with an incredible full house.

His charisma and popularity has generated millions of hits on YouTube. Many artists have agreed to collaborate with this great artist such as La Banda El Recodo, which Gerardo Ortiz invited to participate in his latest music video.

Similarly, his talent as a composer has been recognized by major artists like La Arrolladora Banda El Limon, Banda MS and Lupillo Rivera, who recorded several of his songs. It seems that Gerardo Ortiz is a phenomenon of great magnitude in his genre and he has revolutionized the music and trends among young people. He works under two major record labels, Sony Music and DEL Records.

n the coming months, Gerardo Ortiz will begin a strong advocacy program, plus a concert tour at the national level in Mexico and the United States.

For the first time Gerardo Ortiz has a nomination for Premio Juventud, and when he found out he was nominated he was suprised and extremely happy and extremely grateful to his fans. He is nominated for two categories, "Regional Mexican Artist" and "The Voice of the Times". Premios Juventud 2011 will air on Univision on Thursday, July 21st at 8pm from the BankUnited Center in the University of Miami. Don't miss it!
