Latin Grammy Record of the Year Nominees - Who is your favorite?

The nominations for the 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards were announced on September 14th at a press conference attended by national and international media at the Avalon in Hollywood, Calif. This event was also streamed live on LatinGRAMMY.com.

This year's Latin Grammy Awards will be aired on November 10th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The broadcast will be live on Univision Network from 8–11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).

The Latin Grammys have been bringing together the Latin music community from all areas of the world for more than 10 years now. These awards recognize the excellence and impact that the Latin music has throughout the world. I am sure all of you are looking forward to another year of celebrating the very best of Latin music and let's hope our favorite artists are chosen as the winners. In this blog I am covering the incredible nominees of "Record of the Year".

Here are the nominations for Record of the the Year:

Tan Solo Tú
Franco De Vita con Alejandra Guzmán.



The song "Tan Solo Tú" that plays duet with Alejandra Guzman served to present their upcoming album "Franco de Vita in the front row." This work was released in a special edition CD / DVD which was released in mid-2011, and is part of a series of Sony Music highlighting live performances by the greatest artists in Latin music in front of a select public and in private. So their fans can find songs like 'I love you', 'A good loser', 'And you're going' and 'Louis', among others. Calle 13 released their video "Latin America" ​​as part of their album "Hands All Over." This song has a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Song of the year, this is just one of the ten Latin Grammy awards this Puerto Rican duo is nominated this year. Video was directed by Jorge Carmona and Milovan Radovic and produced by Alejandro Noriega. The video begins with a live performance at a radio station in the Andes. With beautiful views of the region of Latin America.

The chorus is beautifully sung by Latin folk singers such as Toto La Momposina, Susana Baca and Maria Rita. The song recalls on various issues and struggles that Latin America continues to have, also refers to Operation Condor, a campaign that was responsible for thousands of deaths in South America. The song also focuses on the fact that the most important things in life can not be bought.

Los Tigres Del Norte, Feat. Paulina Rubio



"Los Tigres del Norte and their friends" is an album which was recorded live by Los Tigres and many Mexican artists. Released by Fonovisa Records on May 24, 2011, and recorded before a live audience at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California on February 8, 2011. The album includes performances offered by Juanes, Paulina Rubio, Andrés Calamaro, Diego Torres, Zack de la Rocha, and Calle 13. The album reached number one on the albums chart in Mexico and at number three on the Billboard Top Latin Albums in the U.S.

To promote the album, Los Tigres del Norte released "Blows to the Heart", first included on his album "The Example" (1995), and re-recorded for the live album with fellow Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. The only track on the Billboard Regional Mexican songs and Top Latin Songs, surveys, and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Record of the Year.

Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tú
Ricky Martin Featuring Natalia Jiménez



"Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tú" is a song by Puerto Rican artist Ricky Martin, the first single from his ninth album called Music + Soul + Sex. This song was released on November 2, 2010 on iTunes. Ricky Martin sings the English version with Joss Stone and the Spanish version is sung accompanied by Natalia Jimenez. Ricky also sings this song northern style with Jenni Rivera. And in Germany and Austria "The Best Thing About Me is You" is sung by Ricky and Edita. Ricky also released an album this year with his all time best songs and this beautiful song was included on it.
