Selena Gomez is a singer, and actress born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July
22, 1992.
Selena made her debut in television on Barney, and Friends. In 2007, she
was cast on the television series Wizards of Waverly Place.
In 2008, she signed with Hollywood Records and became founder, and lead
singer of the pop band Selena Gonez, and The Scene. Their albums "Kiss, and
Tell" (2009), "A Year Without Rain" (2010), and "When The Sun Goes Down" (2011)
all went certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),
and each album contains Platinum singles.
Selena has worked on television films, and soundtracks, and in 2010, made a
theatrical debut in Ramona, and Beezus, and in 2011, starred in Monte
Carlo.
After completing The Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena focused on her film
career, serving as voice actress in Hotel Transylvania, and starred in Spring
Breakers.
In the summer of 2013, Selena is scheduled to release her first solo album,
followed by the single "Come and Get It.
Selena is also involved in charity work, and involved in social, and environmental causes.
