After The Storm Will Come The Calm For Ricky Martin

Our beloved Ricky Martin is planning to complete his tour, theater, and then retire for a while, according to an article on espectaculosmexico.com.  This past year has been huge for Ricky because as you all know he confessed to the world that he is a homosexual man.  This same article mentions that Ricky stated “All gays were born gay, and this is my nature.”  It is so sad for him to know that some of his followers have told him that since he publicly announced his sexual preference they were going to stop listening to his music, as reported by the Brazilian press.

“I wanted the world to understand that love in the way that I love is not revolutionary, it comes naturally, so did my nature, and every gay is born gay. The social life is opposed to the naturalization and conflicts begin there," said Martin in an interview with the Brazilian magazine Veja.

Martin, who is 39 years old and a former member of Menudo, has two beautiful sons who were born in 2008 via surrogate method.  He has always said in all of his interviews, that it was the look in his children’s eyes that gave him the strength to come out and assume responsibility about his sexual orientation publicly.

Ricky also stated in the especaculosmexico.com article that he is going to have to make some tough decisions.  Even though he is just getting started with his new album Music + Soul + Sex and world tour, he feels the urge to take a year off to help him define his future in music.  His children are his main priority and being a good father, one who spends quality time with his children, is extremely important to him.
Ricky said “Another period of silence is coming soon, I will come to another crossroad and I know I'll change things in my life," said the Puerto Rican star, who will have to wait to finish his participation in Evita, the Broadway musical in which will play Che Guevara, from the spring of 2012.
"I'll be in New York and the routine of working at night in the theater and having time during the day to think, to create, to bring the kids to school, will help me to actually see what I'm going to do, "said Ricky, who promises to "impact "the audience with his interpretation of the controversial revolutionary, Che Guevara.
Ricky felt very peaceful after the revelation of his true sexual orientation, and has shifted his perspective on life.  “But now, my children are my priority," he said without wanting to talk about his possible retirement. "It is unfair to talk about it now, it is a vague thought."

In fact, it is rumored that Ricky not only wants to marry his partner, but also increase their family, by adopting a Mexican baby, most probable a girl.
In closing, I believe that whatever road Ricky decides to take, his true fans will always be there to support him.  Ricky is a wonderful human being and all he has ever wanted was to be accepted, loved, and be the best father that he can be to his children.
Peace and Love!
