When Lynda was 17 years old she was in a band with two of her cousins. They played at the Sahara Hotel, and Casino Lounge in Los Vegas for three months.
Lynda studied at Arizona State University, and after being voted most talented, she dropped out to pursue a career in music.
In 1970, she performed at a San Francisco
hotel mostly for janitors, and hotel guests who parked in the underground
garages.
In 1972, Lynda returned home, and entered a local beauty contest, and won.
Also un 1972, Lynda won Miss World USA, and gained national attention, she went on to Miss World, representing the U.S. and made it to the semi-finals.
Lynda took acting classes, in NYC, and began making appearances in television, and in film. She was on Starsky, and Hutch, Cos, and Nakia.

In 1980, she performed as a singer on the Vegas Strip, and in Atlantic
City.
In 1983, Lynda starred as Rita Hayworth in a movie called "Rita Hayworth,
Love Goddess".
Throughout the years, she worked on many different television specials, and
costarred with actress Loni Anderson.
In the mid 90's Lynda became a celebrity promotional model for Maybelline cosmetics. She also did commercials for Lens Express (1800 Contacts).
Lynda has her own production company called Potomac Productions.
She has did a voice over for "Where There's Smoke", by Sandra Brown.
In 2005, Lynda was in the film remake of The "Dukes of Hazzard".
Lynda was in an episode of Smallville.
Also in 2005, she appeared in the London production of "Chicago" as Mama
Morton.
In 2007, Lynda began touring the U.S. with her one woman cabaret show called "A Night With Lynda Carter". She played at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in NY, jazz at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, The Plush Room in San Francisco, and at The Catalina Jazz Club, Los Angeles.
In 2009, Lynda released an album called "At Last". It reached number 10 on Billboard's Jazz Albums Chart.
In 2011, Lynda released another album with pop, and country songs called "Crazy Little Things". She is currently touring.
