Ricky Martin Shows His Deep Love For Mexico!

Ricky Martin's great love for Mexico and the Mexicans love for Puerto Rico "materialized" yesterday in Leon, Guanajuato, as he gave them his "Music + Soul + Sex" concert and wore a Mexican cowboy hat a fan gave him. The fan had the hat custom made and the embroidery read "Ricky Martin" and "Musica, Alma, y Sexo" in gold letters.

Seeing the hat the singer smiled and walked to the edge of the stage and did not hesitate to put it on his head for several seconds before singing his closing song "The best thing about me is you". The audience applauded and cheered this beautiful gesture which by the way did not happen in neither of the other two concerts at the Federal District or Guadalajara.

The Puerto Rican gave his concert at the Explanada Poliforum de León to 8000 people who enjoyed an hour and 40 minutes of music, intense dancing, costume changes and lots of energy.

Before concluding his presentation, Martin offered a medley with some of his early hits like "Fuego Contra Fuego" (Fire Against Fire), "Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo", (I Miss You, I Forget You, I Love You), and "El Amor De Mi Vida", (The Love of my life.") Ricky Martin said he will visit all the continents and promised to return to this city.

Enjoy a video from this performance in Leon, Guanajuato which as usual was full of energy, love, passion, and heart!

Hawthorne Gets Marc Anthony, Full Time Hottness!

I don't know about you....but Marc Anthony is number two on my Latin Mega Hottie Hot list! Pair that with the smoldering super sexy of Jada Pinkett Smith and OMG! This new season of Hawthorne is going to be off the hook!

I know this isn't new, this news has been around for about a week...but I just couldn't let this chance pass, Pandora's Caja had to put it's own top spin on it ;)

Marc Anthony isn't a novice when to comes to acting be it on the big screen, the small screen or stage. From 1997-98, Marc starred in Paul Simon's controversial stage play, "Capeman" with Ruben Blades, Ednita Nazaria. Marc won rave revues as convicted murderer and gang member Salvador Aragon. Marc also had a role in Martin Scorsese's film, "Bringing Out The Dead"(1999) as Noel. a deranged transient man. He was also in Tony Scott's award winning mega film "Man of Fire" Starring Denzel Washington, and Dakota Fanning. And who could forget his stunning portrayal of Hector Lavoe in "El Cantante".

So it's only fair to say that Marc isn't putting all his eggs in one basket. He's making sure that he has all his bases covered in the entertainment industry.

Hawthorne is already one of my favorite shows on television and now I'm going to have even more reason to watch! As for that love thing between Christina (Jada) and Dr. Tom Wakefield (Vartan).....I banking that is doesn't last, I'm putting my money on Nick (Marc)!

So stay tuned....I know I will be!

"Grammy™-winning recording artist and actor Marc Anthony has joined the cast of TNT’s HAWTHORNE, the powerful drama series starring and executive-produced by Jada Pinkett Smith (The Women, The Matrix trilogy). Anthony will reprise the newly expanded role of Police Detective Nick Renata, the character he introduced as a guest star in two episodes last season. HAWTHORNE is scheduled to return for its third season this June.

Anthony joins HAWTHORNE as a series regular just as Pinkett Smith’s Christina Hawthorne, Chief Nursing Officer of James River Hospital, struggles with news that she is pregnant. The two developed a strong bond last season while Renata investigated a pair of criminal cases involving the hospital. But Christina, whose on-again, off-again romance with Dr. Tom Wakefield (Michael Vartan – Alias) has been a mess of mixed signals and bad timing, told Nick she was not ready to jump into a new relationship.

As a recording artist, Anthony has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide, making him the top-selling salsa artist of all time. He has been awarded numerous gold and platinum record certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His Grammy accolades began with a 1998 Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Performance for “Contra La Corriente,” followed with a 1999 Latin Grammy for Song of the Year for “Dimelo.” In 2004, he earned a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album for Amar Sin Mentiras and a Latin Grammy for Best Salsa Album for Valió la Pena. He won his third Latin Grammy for the 2008 album El Cantante. Last summer, the Miami Dolphins minority owner released his latest album, Iconos, an all-Spanish ballad collection produced with Julio Reyes. The platinum album held the #1 spot on the Billboard charts for six consecutive weeks and earned him his 12th Latin Grammy nomination.

Anthony’s acting career includes roles in Martin Scorsese’s Bringing Out the Dead and Tony Scott’s Man on Fire. Starring opposite wife Jennifer Lopez, Anthony played Puerto Rican salsa pioneer Héctor Lavoe in Leon Ichaso’s biopic El Cantante. He also starred opposite Salma Hayak in the television film In the Time of the Butterflies. In 1997, Anthony made his Broadway debut in Paul Simon’s musical The Capeman.
HAWTHORNE premiered on TNT in summer 2009. Last summer, the second season averaged 3.7 million viewers and ranked as one of cable’s top scripted series among women. Created by Emmy® winner John Masius (St. Elsewhere), HAWTHORNE is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Pinkett Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment and Jamie Tarses’ FanFare Productions. HAWTHORNE is executive-produced by Pinkett Smith; Jamie Tarses (Franklin & Bash); John Tinker (Judging Amy, St. Elsewhere); and Miguel Melendez (The Human Contract).

I Am Mr. Marcus...Up Close And Personal, Exclusive Interview With Pandora's Caja

We had the pleasure of introducing you to Marcus Mitchell as one of the new members of  the second leg of Chayanne's amazing "No Hay Imposibles" world wide tour. Now we have the pleasure and the honor of giving you an exclusive interview with Marcus Mitchell, or as he is more affectionately known, "Mr. Marcus".

You've seen him over these last several months add is energy, fire and sensuality to the already incredible choreography of Nancy O'Meara, Chayanne's long time friend and choreographer. We hope that this interview will give a bit more insight to this amazing dancer.

It's my hope that after this interview if you didn't know Marcus prior to this interview, that you will get to know him a bit better, and support him on his great journey even after the NHI tour has ended. So with out further ado, Mr. Marcus.

Marcus Mitchell was born on the 27 of December 1988 in Houston, Texas to the beautiful Yvonne Mitchell and Mark Mitchell. For as long as he can remember he has been drawn to performing in front of an audience as well as being in the spotlight. Lucky for him he is as gorgeous as he is talented, two characteristics that are highly valuable within the industry and public eye. Marcus admires all artists but is particularly inspired by those who portray themselves as strong, proud and inspirational figures, something he tends to model himself after. "I believe the only reason I am in the position I'm in is because I choose to better others through my blessings & learnings" as Marcus so strongly states shortly after quoting one of his favorite authors, James Allen. "A man has to learn that he cannot command things, but that he can command himself; that he cannot coerce the wills of others, but that he can mold and master his own will: and things serve him who serves Truth; people seek guidance of him who is master of himself", strong words from such a young but wise mind. A public figure is almost an understatement when it comes to describing what Marcus represents, says he likes to be viewed as an inspirational influence and does not want to fall in the category of an idol. Marcus has a great outlook on life and doesn't let a moment go by where he's not sharing it to enrich someone else's. His hard work and perseverance have led to many great opportunities with highly respected choreographers, directors and as well as photographers. For the short amount of time Marcus has been in LA he has worked with choreographers Chuck Maldonado, Fatima Robinson, Michael Rooney, Jamal Sims, Jamaica Craft, Dave Scott, Tanisha Scott and Nancy O'meara, artists such as Ciara, Cheryl Cole, Chayanne, Natasha Beddingfield, Macy Gray and Black Eye Peas, and directors Sophie Muller, Jon M Chu, Dan Schneider, Rob Hardy and Scott Kraft.”

PC.  How did you end up in LA?
MM. I fell into the LA scene after a my first job in Atlanta "stomp the yard 2" I wanted to know more about the entertainment business more or less business sense in LA. Anxious as I was, I was informed by a good friend and mentor of mines Chuck Maldonado, who was choreographer for both stomp the yard 1 & 2 that I have the potential to pursue what I wanted to accomplish and if I wanted to I could make this a career. His first advice was "Move out to LA". Being that I am a man of faith and impulse I took his advice and fled to LA, because I believe "faith without works is dead" something that was instilled in me at a young age. Having this as a foundation I went on a mission in pursuit to begin a dream I so longed for.

PC. Which dace disciplines are you proficient in and which one is your favorite?
MM. Dance disciplines include modern, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop. Other disciplines that make up my freestyle include Popping, boogaloo, locking, house, break dance and a hint of tricking. My favorite is boogaloo.

PC. So your favorite style of dance is Boogaloo right? I have no clue! Tell us more about Boogaloo.
MM. The style Boogaloo is more or less a form of popping created by Poppin Pete and older brother Sam boogaloo. Boogaloo can be characterized by large fluid movements that can incorporate rolls of the hips, knees, torso and head. The name 'popping' came about as Sam would often say 'pop' under his breath as he flexed his muscles and popped. And others would say to him, "Do that popping stuff." Research the Electric Boogaloo's.

PC. Do you teach dance?
MM. Do not teach dance, too many in comers are too quick to teach dance way before even learning or understanding really what being a choreographer is. When I decide to teach and if I decide to teach I want to have permission and respect not because I want to make up an 8 count and teach but be a teacher. Leadership dwells within those who understand humility.

PC. Where do you see yourself in ten years?
MM. I see myself in ten years still strengthening my craft, still learning and being a student of life, but through different aspects not just dance; acting, modeling, music, directing etc.

PC. Who has inspired you most in your dance career?
MM. Those who have inspired me most in my dance career are those who are teaching me having a business sense in this game is the most important aspect, two of my very good friends Chuck Maldonado and Fatima Robinson two premiere beings within the, not only the dance world, but industry.

PC. Tell us about your modeling
MM. Modeling is something I have recently been pursuing and loving it. I am currently building my portfolio by some of the most respected photographers and can’t wait to step in that profession.

PC. Tell us, what are the things that you enjoy and don't enjoy so much about the dance audition process?
MM. Dance auditions can be a headache but at the same time an amazing experience. One has to realize that this is a business so where there's a business politics aren't too far behind. An audition can be looked at as a learning experience or a preparing experience, you can learn from your mistakes or you can just be being prepared if a choreographer doesn’t think you're seasoned enough but see's potential. But all in all the atmosphere within an audition is breath taking, so much talent, the intense sense of urgency and the feeling of performing in front of peers and the choreographers, a feeling unexplainable.

PC. Of all the choreographers that you've had the pleasure or working with, who's choreography would you say is the most challenging?
MM. I would def say Jaquel Knight, that boi makes you dance. I can honestly say doing job with him made me a better dancer.

PC. Most of our readers have come to know you because you're currently on tour with Mega Star Chayanne. Tell us what you like most about performing with him.
MM. I love his energy and most of all the FANS! Every country brings a new aspect of comfort.

PC. What is your favorite number in the show and why?
MM. I would say Provocame because I open the show LOL.

PC. Tell us about your experience working with Nancy O'Meara, Chayanne's longtime friend and choreographer.
MM. Nancy O'Meara is an amazing person to work with and even a better friend, I am grateful every time I am able to work alongside a well-respected choreographer that believes in me and my potential. Nancy is a burst of energy and is always pushing you past your limits, one of the few choreographers within this industry that takes a chance on inexperienced dancers because she sees something special that she can teach and mold them into.

PC. Are you single? If so are you looking?
MM. "Laughs" yes I am single, and no I not searching only because I’m waiting. I was always told a man shouldn’t go out seeking but allow it to come to him. I believe everyone has someone out there for them, either you're ready and they're still being prepared or they're ready and you're still being prepared for them.

PC. What attributes attract you to a young lady?
MM. I’m not going to lie LOL! I am sucker for beautiful eyes. Other than that you have to challenge me and have something that says interesting about yourself. A woman that doesn’t have her head on straight and does not know what she wants in life will not get my attention, she has to have a sense of humility about herself, I have to connect with your personality meaning your personality has to be able to stand on its own. Most importantly she would have had to loved God first because being a Woman of God lets me know you can love me and vise verse.

PC. What is your idea of a perfect date?
MM. A perfect date... hmm let’s see, I would have to say me preparing dinner and getting to know her on a personal level. I might be weird for this but I like the connection between a man and woman when you can silently sit in each other’s presence and enjoy their company.

PC. What are your MP3 must have’s
MM. Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstong, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Anita Baker, Rochelle Ferrell, Michael Buble, Adele, Lauryn Hill, D'Angelo

PC. What would we find on your night table?
MM. A Bible.

PC. I love the fact that the book we would find on your night stand is a Bible. Tell us what is your favorite passage?
MM. Oh I can tell you that off the top of my head, 2 Corinthians 5:7 walk by faith not by sight.

PC. What would be the one thing that a young lady could say or do to get your attention?
MM. One thing a young lady could do to get my attention is not pay me any attention or show any interest.

PC. As far as women, what is your one big "turn off"?
MM. My biggest turn off would be insecurity, i like confidence.

PC. You said your perfect date would include preparing dinner, right? That means you can cook! Tell us what is your best recipe?
MM. My best recipe would be lemon shrimp scampi with garlic chicken or chicken and dumplings.

PC. What do you think of Chayanne's fans (We can be VERY focused! LOL)
MM. Chayanne's Fans are to say amazing would be an understatement. It’s a warmth each and every one of Chayanne’s fans have to them, and it makes us dancers better performers when we feel we are being appreciate in that one point in time on stage.

PC. Is there anything you would like to say to Chayanne's fans?
MM. To all the Chayanne fans Thank You and I hope I will be seeing much more of you.

We know we'll be seeing more of Marcus Mitchell! Stay tuned for the launch of Marcus' new website, "Marcus Mitchell" I know it's going to be hot.....how could it not be!

I'm into you, by J.Lo - Sexy and Hot!

Jennifer Lopez better known as J.Lo just released her new music video “I’m Into You”. Things are going so well for her lately as she releases her new album “Love?”, yes with a question mark. She was asked why the question mark after the word love and according to an interview on Today with Meredith Viera J.Lo answers like this: ““Everybody knows why. It’s funny. Being in such a good place in my life now with babies, with my relationship with Marc [Anthony], I’m able to look at it in a different way and examine it,” Jennifer said. “For me, the question mark is really about always questioning yourself when it comes to that. It’s the one thing we all need, we can’t survive without, every living thing.”

Another question that she is asked is to clarify the rumors about she and her husband doing a Latin version of American Idol. J.lo said” “No, no. We’re doing a show with Simon Fuller who created American Idol, but it’s a different type of show,” Jennifer explained. “We’re going through Latin America to put together a Latin music show where we just scour — it won’t be an auditioning type of show. Not that type of thing.”

The video was directed by Melina Matsoukas, a very talented director who recently did Rihanna’s S&M and Beyonce’s “Move Your Body”. The video was shot in Mexico and it shows the singer on the beach with the hot telenovela heartthrob William Levy. Jennifer Lopez gets very sensual and frisky with Levy, but who can blame her….he is absolutely gorgeous!!! There is a part of the video where J.Lo shakes it solo at the step of the breathtaking Chichen Itza as Lil Wayne raps – but the rapper never appears in the video.

Life can’t get any better for this beautiful 41 year old entertainer. She is happily married to singer Marc Anthony, has two beautiful children (who by the way are already modeling), is a judge in American Idol and was recently named “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World”, by People magazine. Doesn't get any better than that right?

Here is J.Lo’s new song and music video…enjoy!

Peace and Love ;-) Candela

Sade...Timeless Perfection Digitally Remastered

How do you improve something that's already perfect....As for the woman herself, there is nothing that can be our should be done. Sade is a beautiful woman inside and out. If you look at her face now as compared to the beginning of her career, of course you can see the very slight signs of life that are showing on her face, especially the great smile lines around her eyes....and Sade wears them like a crown of glory, her beauty only enhance by their presence.

So what has been improved? Some of her songs, and how have they been improved with technology of course! Sade's digitally remastered, "The Ultimate Collection" is out today! For those of you who already have Sade's hit's then thru iTunes, you can simply choose the new songs that  you don't have, and for you newbies, you can down load the entire CD. There are 29 songs on the CD, the cost on iTunes is $17.99.....but my suggestion, even if you already have all or most of Sade's songs there's no harm in down loading them again and getting a fresh, smooth sound that your older tacks might not have.

So download this fresh new spin on some great classics as well as the killer remixes of some of hew new hit from "Soldier of Love" featuring Jay-Z on "Moon and the Sky", and the Neptunes on "By Your Side".

As for me...tonight, I'm going to cuddle up next to the one I love, share a glass of wine, listen to some Sade and.......Whatever! LOL

Draco Rosa....Sending Him Love and Light

Everyone was shocked when the news hit that Draco Rosa had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lympohoma -Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is cancer of the lymphoid tissue, which includes the lymph nodes, spleen, and other organs of the immune system. According to the American Cancer Society, a person has a 1 in 50 chance of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Most of the time, this cancer affects adults. However, children can get some forms of lymphoma. High-risk groups include those who have received an organ transplant or who have a weakened immune system.
This type of cancer is slightly more common in men than in women.

I can't really say that I rally knew a lot about Draco Rosa prior to this announcement, but I felt the pain none the less. It made me stop and think yet again about how the artists and entertainers that we love to listen to and watch are human.

I think that some times people forget that these wonderful men and women that give of themselves so tirelessly can fall subject to the same maladies and frailties that all of us our subject to, yet they keep on giving.

So while you're listening to your favorite artists music and letting your very soul soak in all the great feelings that it's giving you, remember to say a prayer or two, or three for them....and when you think of them, send them you love and light....you never know what they may be going through.

~Draco, that staff and readers of Pandora's Caja are sending out our prayers, lots of love...and much bright light....

Biography

"Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico, Robi Rosa got involved in music while he was a child, listening to the Beatles and local salsa acts. Nevertheless, Rosa started playing covers of classic hard rock and heavy metal songs, participating in a band called Admir before he joined Menudo.

Soon after, he became the first member of the group to resign, leaving the group in the middle of a tour. The artist settled down in Brazil for a short period, recording songs in Portuguese. In addition, Robi Rosa was captivated by different art forms, such as literature and painting. Back in the U.S., the singer/songwriter decided to try acting, getting a role in the 1988 movie Salsa.

In addition, he participated in an alternative band called Maggie's Dream and later started his solo career with the release of his debut album, called Frio, issued in 1994.

1996 saw the release of Vagabundo, produced by Roxy Music guitarist, Phil Manzanara, followed in 1998 by Songbirds & Roosters, an English rendering of his 1994 debut. Rosa's contribution to Ricky Martin was his breakthrough. Songs such as "Maria," "The Cup of Life," and "Living La Vida Loca," became smash hits, allowing him to get three Grammy nominations in the year 2000. In 2004 he released Mad Love, a thirteen song, genre defying collection of material inspired by Miles Davis, actress/director Angela Alvarado, and the marriage of jazz and rock, that features the legends Vand Dyke Parks and Nelson Gonzalez, among many others."
